MELISSA (OFFICINALIS)
For many years, Melissa has been intrigued by the relationship between Identity and Creativity in various forms - the self/body and the flow of nature. She combined her love for tea and wellness to create bloom+honey in 2019 and share these curiosities with the world.
Melissa has 20 years of experience as a systems designer and strategist, supporting 400+ institutions and brands with advisory and technical assistance to transform collaborations that revolutionize communities for sustainable growth. She has cultivated a robust network of community & business leaders, creatives, deep thinkers, government officials, market influencers and amazing friends across ~40 countries in Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.
Melissa is a certified Doula and Herbal Artist. She offers tremendous gratitude to Herbal Bush House, Inner Circle Midwifery, Mama Glow + Ancient Song Doula Services for sharing their wisdom, experiences and communities that better inform her practice and advocacy, and continue to guide and inspire her path. She has also earned an MA in Migration and Diaspora Studies from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and an MBA, BS in Business Administration and BA in Spanish from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU).
MS. EVA (THE DIVA)
We’re so lucky to have Ms. Eva as part of staff. She is an avid tea drinker and gardener, who brings a wealth of talent, experience and wisdom to the bloom+honey team and works to ensure the highest quality of our locally-sourced products and packaging.

Ms. Eva has been thriving as a retiree for the past 5 years, after a successful 50-year career as a hospital administrator, specializing in benefits, child welfare and youth development. She is a generous volunteer, who prepares meals weekly for hundreds of elderly in the community who are sick or shut-in. She is also an active member of her local Senior Center, gardener's club, YMCA and church. Ms. Eva is a seamstress, florist and enjoys interior decorating, and brings this creativity and enthusiasm to everything she does with bloom+honey.
